SiteKey is a site access and visitor management platform designed for operational New Zealand worksites — construction sites, warehouses, manufacturing plants, farms, and anywhere else that needs to know who's on site and whether they're authorised to be there.

Why we built it

The existing options for site access management in New Zealand fell into two camps: expensive enterprise platforms built for corporate office lobbies, or paper sign-in books that gave site managers no real visibility and fell apart in a WorkSafe audit.

Neither was a good fit for the typical NZ construction company, manufacturer, or logistics operation. These businesses needed something that actually worked on a real worksite — QR code check-in that anyone could use without training, a live evacuation list that was always accurate, and the ability to gate site entry on induction or certification status. And they needed it at a price that made sense for a small or mid-sized NZ business.

That's what SiteKey is.

Gordon is the director of Capability Solutions, a New Zealand learning and training business that has been building workforce training systems for clients across construction, manufacturing, warehousing, and primary industries. SiteKey grew out of the recurring challenge those clients faced: they needed training completion to actually control site access — not just sit in a spreadsheet. About Capability Solutions

SiteKey is a product of Capability Solutions — a New Zealand company that designs and delivers workforce training and compliance systems for businesses across multiple industries. Capability Solutions operates a digital learning management system used by clients including logistics companies, building contractors, manufacturers, and biosecurity programmes across New Zealand.

SiteKey connects directly with the Capability Solutions training platform, meaning clients who need both site access management and site induction training can get both from one team, with one integration, and one point of contact.

Wayne Jameson Builders — Whangarei

Wayne Jameson Builders was paying for an enterprise access management platform that had been built for someone else's business. It was expensive, full of features they'd never use, and required more time managing the software than managing their sites. They switched to SiteKey and were up and running within days. Subcontractors and visitors check in via QR code at each site entrance, compliance is checked automatically, and Wayne gets notified in real time. The whole system costs less per day than his morning coffee.
